Eti Akhter is an 18-year-old expectant mother whose dream of delivering a healthy baby is threatened by her family’s financial hardship. Her husband, Saiful Islam, recently became unemployed and now depends on irregular daily carpentry work, earning only around 7,000–8,000 BDT a month—insufficient to meet their basic needs or pay for essential medical care. The family lives in a small tin house with her teenage brother-in-law and elderly in-laws, with no savings, land, or assets to rely on during emergencies. As Eti’s pregnancy complications worsen, including a breech fetal position and prolonged illness, both her life and her baby’s are at serious risk without timely treatment. They learned about Helpster Charity through her aunt, Nilu, who works at Abdullah Hospital, and reached out in hopes of securing the medical support they urgently need.

Eti Akhter, a gynecology patient, was admitted on 09.02.2026 at 38 weeks of pregnancy with lower abdominal pain, complicated by a breech presentation. On 09.02.2026, she successfully underwent a cesarean operation and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and baby remained stable and were discharged on 12.02.2026 with proper advice. According to the doctor, a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is the safest treatment option if the baby remains in a breech position later in the pregnancy. This procedure greatly reduces the risks of birth complications, ensuring both the mother’s and the baby’s safety during delivery. Without LUCS, a breech birth can lead to severe complications such as obstructed labor, birth trauma, lack of oxygen to the baby, or even life-threatening outcomes for both. With timely intervention, the procedure can give Eti and her child the best chance of a safe delivery and a healthy start to life. Proper medical preparation and monitoring will significantly improve the prognosis for both mother and baby.
