Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Jahanara Khatun is a young, hardworking village woman who manages her household, cares for her 3.5-year-old son, and supports her husband Salim Hossain, an auto-rickshaw driver earning only about 6,000 taka per month. After covering food and basic utilities, the family has no savings, making the cost of emergency surgery impossible to manage. Now at full term with a breech pregnancy and a history of previous cesarean section, Jahanara has endured prolonged labor and absence of fetal movement, placing both her life and her unborn child in serious danger. Without an immediate LUCS, there is a high risk of fetal death, severe birth complications, and life-threatening harm to the mother. Learning about Helpster Charity through Dr. Arif at RUDO Hospital has given this struggling family their only hope for safe treatment and survival.

Medical history

Jahanara was admitted to RUDO Hospital at full term (38+ weeks) with a single live pregnancy and breech presentation. Due to her previous cesarean section and low amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios), her condition was critical. Therefore, the medical team decided to perform an emergency Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) to save both the mother and the baby. The operation was successfully carried out, and soon the anxious cries of a newborn filled the room — a sign of new life and hope. Jahanara’s tears of fear turned into tears of joy as she held her healthy baby in her arms for the first time. Over the next few days, under the care of the doctors and nurses, both Jahanara and her baby gradually recovered. She was given proper medication, nutritious food, and close monitoring to ensure her safe healing. On 17 October 2025, Jahanara was discharged in a stable condition, smiling with her newborn — a moment of relief and gratitude for her entire family. Jahanara Khatun has given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Sumaiya. Jahanara is overjoyed and filled with happiness. Both mother and baby are doing well.

Outcome

The doctor has advised Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest treatment option to ensure the survival and well-being of both Jahanara and her baby. With timely LUCS, the baby can be delivered safely, significantly reducing the risk of birth asphyxia, trauma, and fetal death, while also protecting the mother from life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture and severe bleeding. Successful surgical intervention will allow Jahanara to recover and continue caring for her young child and family. However, if the condition is left untreated, prolonged obstructed labor and breech presentation may lead to fetal demise, irreversible brain injury, or serious maternal complications. Immediate surgical care is therefore critical to save lives and prevent long-term disability.
