Mohd Mohd is a lively five year old boy from a humble background. He is known for his bright smile and his love for playing with his siblings in the compound. Though young, Mohd is caring and always eager to help his mother with small chores around the house. Mohd was in good health until about two weeks ago when he began to cry frequently due to severe pain in his lower abdomen. His mother initially thought it was a simple stomach upset, but the pain became worse and was soon accompanied by difficulty passing urine and occasional vomiting. Despite visiting a nearby clinic and taking prescribed medications, his symptoms persisted. On presentation at our hospital, Mohd was evaluated and diagnosed with right ureteric stones , a condition that causes blockage and intense pain due to stones forming in the urinary tract. Surgery is planned pending approval from the Helpster Charity foundation.

MOHD MOHD, A 5-year-old boy, presented with a history of severe pain in his lower abdomen accompanied difficulty passing urine and occasional vomiting since 2 weeks. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Ureteric stone.He underwent successful surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care.He recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Mohd's ureteric stone obstructed urine flow from the kidneys to the bladder, causing backflow, hydronephrosis, and kidney tension, leading to severe pain and potential kidney damage. Surgery is necessary to remove the stone, relieve symptoms, and prevent further kidney damage, with a good expected outcome. Prompt medical attention will significantly improve his health status.
