Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Aklima Akter is an 18-year-old gentle and soft-spoken young woman whose quiet strength shines through despite the hardships she faces. After losing her father and being abandoned by her husband, she now lives in a small government-built home with her mother, Momena Khatun, who has no income and often survives by begging from neighbors — leaving them completely unable to afford life-saving medical care. At 38 weeks pregnant with a breech baby and suffering from anemia, Aklima’s condition is dangerous and could lead to cord compression, lack of oxygen to the baby, or life-threatening complications during labor if she does not receive a timely C-section. Without treatment, both her life and her baby’s life could be at serious risk. Despite the fear and financial desperation, Aklima remains hopeful, praying for the chance to safely welcome her child into the world and build a better life for her mother and herself.

Medical history

Aklima Akter was admitted to the hospital for a planned cesarean section (C-section) at 38 weeks of pregnancy due to complications including breech presentation and mild anemia. These conditions made a normal delivery unsafe, as the baby’s feet-first position greatly increased the risk of cord compression, fetal distress, and other life-threatening complications for both mother and child. The C-section was carried out successfully by an experienced medical team, resulting in the safe birth of a healthy baby. After the surgery, Aklima received appropriate post-operative care, including antibiotics, hydration, and support to manage her anemia and strengthen her recovery. Over the following days, her condition steadily improved, and she began bonding with her newborn with relief and joy. Both mother and baby are now stable and recovering well, with Aklima expressing deep gratitude for the medical care that protected their lives and gave them a hopeful new beginning.

Outcome

The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest and most effective treatment for Aklima, given her breech presentation and weakened condition due to anemia. With timely LUCS, the baby can be delivered safely, reducing the risks of cord compression, fetal distress, and complications that could threaten both their lives. This intervention greatly improves the chances of a healthy delivery and helps protect Aklima from dangerous labor complications. Without this surgery, attempting a normal delivery could lead to life-threatening outcomes, including lack of oxygen to the baby or obstructed labor. The doctors are confident that LUCS will give both mother and child the best chance for a safe and healthy future.
