Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Kulsum Begum is a caring and resilient 30-year-old mother from a poor household, where her husband’s daily wage labor barely covers food and schooling for their two children, aged 14 and 9, and the care of his elderly mother. Despite her difficult obstetric history—including a previous C-section—Kulsum continues to manage household chores with quiet strength while hoping for a safe delivery. Now 34+ weeks pregnant, her baby’s breech position makes a normal birth extremely dangerous, especially given her past complications. Without timely medical treatment, she faces the risk of uterine rupture, severe bleeding, or even the loss of both mother and child. Learning about Helpster through Fatema Begum gave the family hope at a moment when they had no financial means and feared the worst.

Medical history

The patient, kulsum Begum was admitted to City Clinic on 24th January 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy3.0 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 28th January 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

Outcome

The doctor has advised a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest treatment option for Kulsum Begum's delivery. With this procedure, both mother and baby are expected to have a stable and healthy outcome, minimizing the risks associated with breech presentation. The surgery will help prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture, fetal distress, or prolonged labor. If the condition is left untreated and a vaginal delivery is attempted, both Kulsum and her baby could face severe complications, including the risk of losing the baby or endangering the mother’s life. Timely surgical intervention is therefore critical for a safe and successful delivery.
