Mst. Mishu Akter is an 18-year-old pregnant housewife living with her husband, 2-year-old son Mujahid Islam, and 65-year-old mother-in-law, Most. Surafa Begum, in a government-owned house. Her husband, Md. Kamal Ahmed, works as a day laborer and earns only 6,000 taka per month, which is insufficient to cover both household needs and emergency medical expenses. Mishu is a responsible and hopeful mother who wishes for a safe pregnancy and a healthy future for her children. At 36 weeks and 2 days of gestation, she developed lower abdominal pain, and an ultrasound revealed a breech presentation with moderate oligohydramnios, for which doctors advised an immediate caesarean section. Without timely surgical intervention, both the mother and unborn baby face serious, potentially life-threatening complications.

Mst. Mishu came to the hospital at 36 weeks and 2 days of pregnancy with a breech presentation and moderate oligohydramnios and was admitted on 18.11.2025. Her LSCS operation was performed on the same day, and the procedure was successful, ensuring the safe delivery of her baby. After the surgery, she received proper medical management, continuous monitoring, and attentive nursing care, which helped her recover smoothly. Both mother and baby remained in stable and secure condition throughout their hospital stay. After confirming her improved health and recovery, she was discharged on 21.11.2025 in a safe and well condition.

The recommended treatment for her is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from oxygen deprivation and fetal distress, leading to birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, head entrapment, or even death, and the mother may also face life-threatening infections or complications.
