Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Emmanuel is a quiet and shy boy, he is not very talkative but likes to sing. He enjoys to play football in his free time and would like to be a medical doctor when he grows up. He was well until he started experiencing joint pains, cough and a fever.

Medical history

Emmanuel's health status was noticeable both when he fell ill and when he recovered. Typically talkative when feeling well, Emmanuel's condition took a turn for the worse the day before he was brought to the hospital, presenting symptoms of joint pains, cough, and fever. Following a diagnosis and appropriate treatment, he experienced improvement and eventually recovered fully.

Outcome

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
