Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Emmanuel is the firstborn in a family of two siblings—himself and his three-month-old sister. He lives with his grandmother. He is currently in Grade 3 at a local primary school within the area. His mother, a single parent with limited means, lives away from home while caring for her seriously ill sister. Emmanuel’s primary caregiver is therefore his grandmother, a widow who survives through subsistence farming and by working on other people’s farms for small daily wages. Due to her age and the irregular nature of this work, the household income is extremely limited, making it difficult to consistently afford food, school-related needs, or basic needs in general. Emmanuel began feeling unwell four days before being brought to the hospital. He developed symptoms including headache, abdominal swelling, nausea and vomiting, generalized body aches, and fast breathing. Initial care was sought at a local chemist, but there was no improvement in his condition. As his health continued to deteriorate and the grandmother became increasingly concerned, a community member informed her about Helpster Charity and advised her to seek care at the hospital where assistance could be provided. With this information, Emmanuel was brought to the hospital for proper evaluation and management. He was diagnosed with septicaemia.
Medical history
Emmanuel was diagnosed with Septicaemia, was admited and stayed 3 days in the ward being managed on antibiotics. Upon showing marked improvement, he was discharged home on oral medical
Prognosis
Following the diagnosis of septicaemia, Emmanuel’s prognosis is guarded but hopeful, given timely diagnosis and prompt initiation of appropriate treatment. With early administration of intravenous antibiotics, adequate fluid resuscitation, and close monitoring, his condition is expected to improve progressively. Early and comprehensive management significantly reduces the risk of complications such as organ dysfunction. With continued inpatient care, adherence to treatment, and careful follow-up after discharge, Emmanuel has a favourable chance of full recovery and return to normal health.
