Nur is a bright and lively 1.5-month-old baby girl who lives in a small tin-shed house with her parents, grandmother, and young brother, in a family struggling to survive on a very limited income. When she developed severe diarrhea, vomiting, and fever, she became dangerously dehydrated, and despite treatment from a local pharmacy and a government hospital, her condition did not improve. As her health worsened, her anxious parents and grandmother were informed by hospital staff and local community members about Helpster and its charity partner, Narayanganj Poly Clinic, as a source of lifesaving support. Without urgent treatment, Nur’s fragile condition could quickly lead to severe complications or even death due to her young age. Despite taking unsuitable antibiotics and other medications, her condition deteriorated, leaving her dehydrated and lethargic. In urgent need of care, she was admitted to the hospital for critical treatment, where she received intravenous cholera saline, oral antibiotics, zinc syrup, probiotics, and ORS. Thanks to the dedicated team at Narayanganj Polyclinic, Janefa has made a full recovery and returned home, bringing joy back to her family. She was admitted on 13/12/25 and discharged on 15/12/25.

The patient was suffering from acute gastroenteritis which was life-threatening due to severe dehydration. Immediate treatment was necessary, and the patient was admitted for emergency care. She received intravenous cholera saline, oral antibiotics, zinc syrup, ORS, and probiotics. If left untreated, this condition could have led to severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, organ damage, and even death. Fortunately, Nur is now doing well and has returned to her normal daily life, bringing smiles to her parents' faces.
