Adama is a 13-year-old girl from a modest family in Maiduguri,Northern Nigeria. She is cheerful, loves attending school, and helps her mother with household tasks.She enjoys storytelling and has a keen interest in healthcare. Her long-term dream is to become a Midwife, so she can assist families in remote areas who have limited access to medical care. She has generally been healthy, with no chronic illnesses or previous surgeries until now. Adama, a 13-year-old female, presented with severe abdominal pain for 3 days. The pain started around the umbilicus and migrated to the right lower quadrant, becoming constant and severe. She has associated fever, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Her parents noticed abdominal distension and increasing tenderness which makes the family rushed to UMD medical clinic to sought for free healthcare services provided by Helpster Charity. On presentation at UMD, she was examined clinically and also subjected to ultrasound scan which confirmed ruptured appendix. She was planned for emergency surgery upon approval by Helpster charity foundation.

ADAMA,an 13-year-old female, presented with a sudden onset of right lower abdominal pain,nausea and vomiting.Pain is severe and constant often worsen with movement, associated with symptoms of loss of appetite and fever. After thorough evaluation, she was diagnosed with Ruptured appendix.She underwent successful Ex.Lap surgery without immediate complications. Following a 3-day hospital stay for close monitoring and post-operative care, ADAMA recovered well and was discharged home with a scheduled follow-up appointment for 1 week.She has since fully recovered and resumed regular activities. Surgery is the only solution to Adama's case because the appendix has ruptured causing severe pain, peritonitis and abscess in the abdomen. With timely intervention despite this complication she will significantly improve and will avert other potential complications like dehydration,kidney damage and anaemia.
