Emmanuel is the second child of a single mother who struggles daily to provide for her family. She earns a living by washing soil remnants from a local gold site, an irregular and low-paying activity that barely meets her family’s basic needs, highlighting their financial hardship. Emmanuel had been healthy until the evening of the 14th, when his mother returned from her daily work to find him, along with the other children she had left in her care, running a fever. She administered paracetamol and Amoxil she had at home, but these provided little relief. Due to lack of money, she was unable to purchase additional medication immediately. Initially, she resisted hospital admission, fearing she could not pay. She was then informed about Helpster Charity and consented to receive assistance.

BABY EMMANUEL WAS BROUGHT WITH THE FOLLOWING COMPLAINTS ;HOTNESS OF THE BODY, VOMITING, CRYING ALOT WHICH BEGAN TWO WEEKS. HE WAS TESTED AND A DIAGNOSIS OF SEPTICEMIA WAS MADE. EMMANUEL WAS COMMENCED ON IV ANTIBIOTIC AND PER RECTAL PARACETAMOL WHICH IS FAST ACTING TO LOWER THE BODY TEMPERATURE THEN LATER A CONTINUATION OF SYRUP WAS GIVEN .HE HAD A FAIR PROGNOSIS. DAY 5 AFTER ADMITING BABY EMMANUELWAS DISCHARGED ON ORAL MEDICATION TO CONTINUE TREATMENT AT HOME. FOLLOW UP WAS DONE A WEEK LATER WHICH WAS SHOWED BABY EMMANUEL HAD RECOVERED AND WAS ABLE TO BREASTFEED WELL AND ALSO PLAY.

Emmanuel is expected to respond well to prompt medical intervention for septicaemia. With timely administration of intravenous antibiotics, fluids, and supportive care, he will show steady improvement. Continued monitoring and adherence to prescribed oral medications at home are expected to ensure full recovery without long-term complications.
