Zara M., 19

Zara is a 19 year old girl who enjoys reading, drawing, and exploring new things. She dreams of helping others, traveling, and living an independent, fulfilling life while making a positive impact on those around her. She was well until 3 weeks before presentation when she developed lower abdominal swelling, mild-to-moderate pain, with occasional nausea. At our facility, she was examined and after clinical assessment and investigations, she was diagnosed with large Right Ovarian Cyst. The cyst is firm, mobile, and partly solid, and requires surgical removal to prevent complications and allow her to return to a normal life. If the cysts are not surgically removed, it can twist (torsion causing unbearable pains and ischemia), rupture leading to further worsen complications.

Zara, a 19-year-old young woman, was admitted on 17/12/2025 with a right ovarian cyst and underwent a successful right ovarian cystectomy to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary. She received appropriate postoperative care, pain management, and close medical monitoring. After seven days in the hospital, Zara recovered well. Her pain and abdominal swelling resolved, and she was discharged home in good condition, able to return to her normal daily activities without complications.
