Fatima was the first born of the family who like to become a doctor she leaves with her parents at musawa her father was a farmer and her mother sells grants at home. Fatima was admitted to Ayaji Hospital presenting with a complex clinical picture. While initially displaying respiratory symptoms, a thorough clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing she was diagnosed with ​Severe Malaria and ​Acute Gastroenteritis which is a life-threatening form of the infection characterized by high parasite density and systemic complications. An inflammation of the digestive tract, likely occurring as a co-infection or a complication of the primary malarial illness.

Treatment and Recovery Fatima, a 17-year-old girl, was admitted with a diagnosis of severe malaria. She presented with high-grade fever, weakness, body pains, and loss of appetite. Following clinical assessment and laboratory investigations, she was commenced on appropriate treatment. She received intravenous Artesunate as antimalarial therapy, intravenous fluids for rehydration, and Paracetamol for fever and pain control. She was also given Iron and Folic Acid supplements to support her recovery and improve her overall health status. During her admission, Fatima was closely monitored and responded well to treatment. Her fever subsided, her strength gradually returned, and her appetite improved. She remained clinically stable throughout her hospital stay and showed significant improvement in her condition. Following a satisfactory recovery, Fatima was discharged home in good health with medications and advice on follow-up care. She expressed gratitude for the support that enabled her to receive timely treatment and recover successfully.

In doctor's opinion, Fatima has two very serious conditions leading anemia from the malaria and dehydration and infection from the gastroenteritis. Fatima was brought to Ayaji Hospital after examination she was diagnosed with severe maleria and acute gastroenteritis which are both life-threatening form of the infection characterized by high parasite density and systemic complications that requires a prompt attention.
