Background

Aisha Hussaini is an 11-year-old girl who loves running and playing with her friends, especially skipping and football. She often helps her mother sell goods in the local market and enjoys drawing in her free time. Aisha dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can educate children in her community and inspire them to pursue their dreams. She has generally been healthy, with no history of chronic illness or prior surgery. Aisha Hussaini, an 11-year-old female, presented with high-grade fever, chills, and generalized weakness for 2 days. She also had headache, loss of appetite, and occasional vomiting. Her parents noticed she was lethargic and less active than usual. There was no history of cough, diarrhea, or recent malaria episodes. She had been healthy prior to the onset of these symptoms. No known drug allergies or previous surgeries. Diagnosis: Acute Malaria. Management plan: treatment commenced with intravenous antimalarial therapy, intravenous fluid for hydration and antipyretics, with monitoring of temperature, clinical response, and overall condition.

Medical history

After falling seriously ill with fever,abdominal pain and headache, AISHA,struggled to keep up with school and daily life. Her family, worried and without enough money for treatment, turned to Helpster Charity for support. Thanks to Helpster Charity, she was evaluated and investigated in UMD hospital and diagnosed with Severe plasmodiasis. She was admitted and had antimalarial drugs,intravenous fluids with other supportive treatment in the hospital for 3 days. Slowly, she recovered, symptoms subsided, and she regained her strength. She was discharged home with her parents, and she can enjoy his childhood and return to school. Prognosis

Aisha is experiencing fever, loss of appetite, general body weakness, and vomiting, which has kept her out of school. She appears moderately dehydrated and very uncomfortable. Prompt treatment of acute malaria, possibly complicated by typhoid fever, is crucial to prevent serious complications. Treatment of acute malaria and typhoid fever have good prognosis and health status will significantly improve to enable her to return back to school for her studies.
