Abdullah Al Mamun is a polite and determined student who lives with his parents and several brothers and sisters in a large family fully dependent on his father’s small income as a mosque Imam. With only BDT 6,000 per month to support nine family members, the family struggles to afford food and daily needs, making medical treatment far beyond their financial ability. Abdullah has suffered from this painful condition since birth and has already gone through two unsuccessful surgeries, which have caused him great physical pain and emotional distress, yet he remains hopeful and respectful despite his hardship. If he does not receive proper treatment now, his condition may worsen, leading to severe infection, constant pain, and long-term damage that could affect his ability to live a normal life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through the Ministry of Education and now looks to this support as their only hope to save Abdullah from further suffering and restore his dignity.

Abdullah Al-Mamun, aged 20 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on 2 February 2026 at 3:21 PM with Hypospadias Cripple and large Urethrocutaneous Fistula. He underwent surgical repair on 2 February 2026 at 10:00 PM. The operation included repair of the urethrocutaneous fistula with glanuloplasty and meatoplasty. After 12 days of postoperative care, he was discharged on 14 February 2026 with medicines and medical advice. The patient and his guardian expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting his treatment and recovery.

Doctors have advised urethroplasty with buccal mucosal graft and meatoplasty as the most appropriate treatment, with a strong expectation that it will greatly improve Abdullah’s quality of life. If the surgery is successful, he is likely to regain normal urination, be free from constant pain and infections, and return to his studies and daily activities with dignity and confidence. The treatment will also prevent further damage and reduce the risk of long-term complications. However, if left untreated, his condition may worsen, leading to repeated severe infections, increasing pain, and possible permanent damage that could seriously affect his future health and well-being. Early treatment is therefore crucial to give him a chance at a normal and healthy life.
