Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Outcome
For Gideon having Cerebral malaria (CM) which is a life-threatening complication of P. falciparum infection, primarily affecting children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa. It causes rapid coma, severe seizures, and brain swelling, with a 20% mortality rate. Survivors often face long-term, life-altering neurological damage, including cognitive deficits, epilepsy, blindness, and behavioral issues. The prognosis for Gideon a 2-year-old male child with cerebral malaria depends on how early treatment is started and the severity at presentation. With prompt intravenous antimalarial therapy and good supportive care, patient willrecover fully. However, delayed treatment increases the risk of death or long-term complications such as seizures, developmental delay, hearing or vision problems. Early hospital care greatly improves survival and neurological outcome.
