Haras Ullah, a 21-year-old Quran Hafiz living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh, is a caring and responsible young man who supports his parents and looks after his four younger siblings. His family has no regular income and struggles to meet even their basic daily needs, making it impossible for them to afford medical treatment. After breaking his left arm 35 days ago and not receiving proper care, a recent second injury has made his condition much worse, leaving him in severe pain and unable to use his arm properly. If he does not receive urgent surgery, he may suffer permanent disability and lose the ability to work and support his family in the future. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Mohammad Ali Azad and Dr. Tauhid, who are Helpster Volunteers, and reached out in hope of life-changing support.

Haras Ullah, a 21-year-old male, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 19.04.2026 with severe pain, swelling, and deformity of his left forearm following trauma and re-injury. After clinical evaluation, he was diagnosed with an acute-on-chronic fracture of the left radius and ulna with delayed union and underwent successful ORIF surgery under anesthesia. During his 8-day hospital stay, he received proper post-operative care, including pain management, immobilization, and close monitoring, leading to steady improvement. He was discharged on 27.04.2026 in stable condition with follow-up advice. The patient and his family express their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their invaluable support and care.

Doctors recommend Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of the left radius and ulna to properly realign the broken bones and secure them with plates and screws under anesthesia (either general or regional, depending on his condition). With this surgery, Haras Ullah has a strong chance of healing correctly, regaining movement in his arm, and returning to his normal daily activities without long-term disability. The procedure is expected to relieve his pain, correct the deformity, and restore strength and function over time with proper follow-up care. However, if left untreated, the bones may heal in a severely misaligned position, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, and significant loss of arm function. This could prevent him from working, caring for his siblings, and living an independent life in the future.
