Yahaya is a curious and playful 4-year-old who enjoys toys, stories, and exploring. He dreams of adventures and helping others, showing a brave and cheerful spirit. Yahaya developed a sudden high fever with chills, weakness, headache, nausea, and vomiting that lasted for six days. On presentation at our facility, he was diagnosed with acute severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum and was admitted for urgent treatment. Currently, he is under medical care for severe malaria.

Yahaya, a 4-year-old boy, was admitted on 22/12/2025 with severe malaria. He received antimalarial medications, intravenous fluids, antipyretics, supportive care, and close medical monitoring. After three days in the hospital, Yahaya responded well to treatment. His symptoms resolved, he regained his strength, and he was discharged home in good condition, able to return to his normal daily activities without complications. Yahaya has severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, which has led to high fever, chills, weakness, nausea, and mild anemia. It is an emergency requiring urgent medical treatment and hospitalization to avoid cerebral malaria, anemia, amongst others The doctor’s prognosis is that with prompt treatment, Yahaya is likely to recover fully. If left untreated, the infection could become life-threatening, causing severe complications or death.
