Maryam Umar is an active and curious 18-year-old young woman who enjoys exploring new interests and hopes to achieve her goals while making a positive impact on others. She looks forward to further education and personal growth. She developed sudden severe pain in the right flank that radiated to the groin, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Upon presentation at Adari, Medical evaluation revealed a ureteric stone measuring about 1.4 cm with mild hydronephrosis. Diagnosis - Ureteric Stone with Hydronephrosis. She is currently clinically stable with largely normal laboratory findings and has been scheduled for surgical removal of the stone, pending approval and financial support for treatment.

Maryam was hospitalized in December 2025 with a right ureteric stone and underwent successful surgery to remove the stone. She received postoperative care, pain relief medications, intravenous fluids, and close medical supervision throughout her recovery. After three days in the hospital, Maryam made a good recovery. Her pain, nausea, and vomiting resolved, her kidney function improved, and she was discharged home in stable condition. She is now able to return to her normal daily activities. The patient has been evaluated for symptomatic ureteric obstruction and is currently stable while awaiting definitive surgical management. Planned intervention is necessary to relieve symptoms and prevent further compromise of urinary drainage and kidney function. With timely surgery and appropriate post-treatment care, recovery is expected and her symptoms should resolve. Prognosis is generally favorable, provided she maintains follow-up and adheres to preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
