Hauwa Salisu Jibrin is a playful and curious 4-year-old girl who enjoys drawing, singing, playing with toys and dolls, and spending time with her friends. She dreams of growing up healthy, going to school, and one day helping others as a doctor or teacher. She developed symptoms of high fever, weakness, poor appetite, headache, and occasional vomiting about four days before presentation to the hospital. Following clinical evaluation and laboratory investigations, she was diagnosed with malaria and typhoid fever. She is currently receiving treatment with antimalarial medications, antibiotics, fluids, and supportive therapy, and her condition is being closely monitored. Her caregiver has also received counseling on malaria prevention and the importance of follow-up care.

Hauwa was admitted on 18/02/2026 after being diagnosed with malaria and typhoid fever. She received antimalarial medications, antibiotics, intravenous fluids, blood tonics, and supportive care while her condition was closely monitored. After three days in the hospital, Hauwa showed significant improvement. Her symptoms resolved without complications, and she was discharged home in stable condition with medications to continue her recovery. The patient was evaluated for febrile illness with associated gastrointestinal symptoms and has been commenced on appropriate antimalarial and antibiotic therapy, along with supportive care. Her prognosis is favorable, provided medications are taken as prescribed and preventive measures are maintained to reduce the risk of recurrence.
