Shedi Idi is a 17-year-old boy from a financially challenged family that relies on assistance for medical care. He enjoys playing basketball, reading science books, and hopes to become a doctor in the future. He presented with a one-week history of gradually worsening right lower abdominal pain, associated with nausea, occasional vomiting, and reduced appetite. Although he initially had no fever, he developed a low-grade fever in the last 24 hours. Examination revealed right lower quadrant tenderness without guarding or rigidity. He was diagnosed with subacute appendicitis and scheduled for surgery pending approval from the Helpster Charity Foundation.

MEDICAL REPORT INRESPECT OF SHEDI IDI,MALE,17 YEARS OLD Shedi,a 17 year-old teenager, presented with a sudden onset of right lower abdominal pain, nausea, accompanied by vomiting, fever and he became very uncomfortable for the past 24 hours After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Sub Acute appendicitis. He underwent successful Appendectomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care.He recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Subacute appendicitis is an ongoing inflammation of the appendix that may progress if not treated promptly. The patient’s symptoms and examination findings are consistent with this diagnosis. Surgical removal of the appendix is recommended to prevent complications such as perforation or abscess formation. With timely surgery, the prognosis is excellent, and full recovery is expected. Delay in treatment, however, may increase the risk of complications and prolonged recovery.
