Isah is 1 year old male child who happens to be the only child. The child is living with his parents in a small village. The father is a laborer and the mother is a house wife. They barely have what to eat because of financial constraints. They live in a 2 rooms apartment having a pit toilet and they don't have access to electricity. The only source of water they have is the well around their community. Issah a 1 year old was brought to our facility with complaints of fever, cough and runny nose for the past 1 week. The fever became high yesterday at night with postprandial vomiting. On examination, a 1-year-old male child, looking very ill (38.3o C) and crying persistently. He is tachypneic, anicteric, acyanosed. Not pale. He was diagnosed with severe malaria and lower respiratory tract infection. The family are not having the money to pay for their the child's hospital bills, they contacted Helpster Charity through a volunteer for the medical support. The child was brought and properly evaluated.

On examination, a 1-year-old male child, looking very ill (38.3o C) and crying persistently. He is tachypneic, unicteric, acyanosed. Not pale. He was diagnosed with severe malaria and lower respiratory tract infection. Treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care until patient was stable. He was discharged and scheduled for follow up after 1 week. The family are so excited and remained thankful to Helpster Charity for the medical support.

Prompt treatment with antimalarials, appropriate antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and supportive care is essential for improved clinical outcomes. Prognosis is improved is treated early and appropraitely.
