Hauwa Umar is an 18-year-old young woman whose mother is a widow and sells vegetables at the local market to support the family. She lives with her mother and 3 siblings. She helps her mother after school and dreams of becoming a nurse to assist patients in her community. Her family has limited financial resources due to their poor socio economic background and relies on assistance for healthcare. Her mother makes 20,000 naira only monthly. Hauwa Umar, an 18-year-old female, presented to our hospital with colicky left flank pain radiating to the groin, hematuria, and nausea for 3 days. She reported no fever, vomiting, or urinary tract infections previously. At presentation, she was evaluated and examination shows there was tenderness over the left flank. Examinations and Investigations confirms a diagnosis of Left nephrolithiasis (kidney stone). Management plan: is for elective Surgical removal of the stone, analgesics, and hydration.

MEDICAL DISCHARGE REPORT INRESPECT OF HAUWA Umar, FEMALE,AGE 18 YEARS OLD HAUWA,an 18-year-old female, presented with a history of flank pain,lower back pain, accompanied by vomiting,after thorough evaluation and investigation, she was diagnosed with kidney stone. She underwent successful Nephrolithotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of her condition, she was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care. Aisha, recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, she is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed her regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Hauwa is suffering from Kidney stone which causes intense pain from the back and in her groin, nausea, vomiting, and blood in the urine, disrupting daily life; if left untreated, they can lead to severe infections, blocked urine flow, and long-term kidney damage. Removal of the kidney stone is the best treatment option at this point due to the size of the stone, which is too large to pass through the urethra. The surgery is expected to have a good prognosis, as Hauwa does not have any underlying conditions that could interfere with the procedure.
