Abubakar, a male child of 7 years old who attends a government primary school. He is currently staying with his parents and other five of his siblings. They all have a good relationship as a family. The child wishes to become a politician one day. They live in 3 rooms apartment inherited by their grandparents in the community where the house was built with a mud block, having a pit toilet. They make use of water from the well for their daily activities as well, there is no electricity. A 7-year-old male child woke up this morning around 9 am and started complaining of fever, headache with chills, vomited once about 30mins later. On examination, a young male teenager conscious, febrile (37.3o C), anicteric, acyanosed, palor, Tachypneic, not jaundiced, no organ enlargement. He was diagnosed with severe Malaria and Enteritis. The family are poor and cannot take him to the hospital, that is why they contacted Helpster Charity for medical assistance. He was admitted for urgent medical attention.

Treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care, he was properly monitored until fully recovered, no more symptoms of malaria and enteritis, he was discharged with some oral medications and asked to return for follow up after 1 week. Abubakar is having severe malaria and enteritis, which is causing severe ill health requires admission and urgent treatment. For Abubakar, with adequate antimalarial therapy, rehydration, and supportive care, outcomes are generally good. However, delayed management increases the risk of severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, shock, anemia, and death, particularly in young children and vulnerable patients. However, on admission, management includes intravenous antimalarial therapy, fluid replacement, correction of electrolytes, antipyretics, and close monitoring. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are essential to prevent complications and improve outcomes.
