Hassana is a curious and caring 17-year-old who enjoys reading, drawing, and exploring nature. Her family struggles financially and is unable to afford the cost of investigations, surgery, or prolonged treatment without external support. Hassana enjoys sewing and helping her mother at home, and she hopes to become a fashion designer in the future if her health allows. The family income is 17,000 Naira, they use community borehole and no proper latrine. Hassana, a 17-year-old girl, developed progressive lower abdominal pain, high fever, difficulty walking, loss of appetite, and occasional vomiting over 5 days. Examination revealed tenderness and mild swelling in the lower abdomen. Tests confirmed a pelvic abscess with elevated white blood cells. She is currently ill and febrile, and a plan for exploratory laparotomy to drain the abscess has been made, with supportive care and close monitoring in place. Diagnosis - Pelvis Abscess

Hassana was admitted in April 2026 with a pelvic abscess and underwent a successful exploratory laparotomy with drainage of the abscess. She received intravenous fluids, appropriate antibiotics, pain management, and close postoperative monitoring throughout her recovery. Following treatment, Hassana made steady progress. Her pain resolved, the infection cleared, and she recovered without complications. She was discharged home in stable condition in June 2026 and is expected to resume her normal daily activities.
