Shahuda A., 8

Shahuda is an imaginative and playful 8-year-old who enjoys drawing, singing, and playing with friends. She dreams of growing up healthy, returning to school, and one day helping others, perhaps as a doctor. The family is poor with income of 21,000 only, no access to electricity, no proper latrine, and uses community borehole. Shahuda developed a persistent productive cough, high fever, and difficulty breathing over 5 days, which gradually worsened and caused chest discomfort, poor appetite, and weakness. She was diagnosed with bronchopneumonia. Currently, she is ill-looking, mildly dehydrated, and has mild oxygen desaturation, but is under close medical care receiving antibiotics, nebulization, antipyretics, and supportive fluids.

Shahuda, an 8-year-old girl, was admitted on the 27/3/2026 with fever, cough, difficulty breathing, and poor appetite and was diagnosed with pneumonia. She received intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, antipyretics, and IV fluids, along with close monitoring. Over the next few days, Shahuda improved steadily. Her fever resolved, her breathing became easier, her appetite returned, and she regained her strength. After 3 days hospital treatment, she was discharged home on the 30/3/2026 in good condition and was able to resume her normal daily activities.
