Noor Kabir is a caring and affectionate 6-year-old boy who studies in Class One, dreams of becoming a teacher, and lovingly looks after his younger sister, who has a physical disability. Since his parents’ divorce two years ago, Noor and his sister have lived with their mother, and with no earning member in the household, the family depends entirely on World Food Programme (WFP) food assistance for survival, making specialized medical treatment impossible to afford. His family therefore needs humanitarian support to treat his congenital tongue-tie and chronic adenotonsillitis. Without timely treatment, he may continue to suffer from painful swallowing, poor food intake, recurrent throat infections, disturbed sleep, breathing problems, and difficulties with tongue movement and speech. If the infection or airway obstruction becomes severe, it may lead to serious complications that could threaten his health

Nur Kabir, a 6-year-old child, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 08.07.2026 through Helpster volunteer Md. Younus with severe throat infection, breathing difficulties, and congenital tongue-tie. After evaluation, he successfully underwent Frenulectomy and Adenotonsillectomy under General Anesthesia on 11.07.2026, followed by appropriate postoperative care. After four days of hospitalization, he was discharged on 12.07.2026 in stable condition with medications and follow-up advice. His treatment was fully supported by Helpster Charity, and his family sincerely thanks Helpster, volunteer Md. Younus, and the doctors, nurses, and staff of Orion Hospital for their compassionate care and generous support.

According to the doctor, frenulectomy and adenotonsillectomy are recommended to release the tongue-tie and remove the enlarged, repeatedly inflamed tonsils and adenoids. With successful surgery and proper postoperative care, Nur Kabir is expected to experience improved tongue movement, swallowing, breathing, sleep, and overall quality of life, with reduced risk of recurrent throat infections. If left untreated, he may develop persistent speech and feeding difficulties, repeated infections, poor nutrition, worsening snoring, sleep disturbance, and significant airway obstruction. Severe infection or breathing obstruction may lead to serious and potentially life-threatening complications.
