Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
She was referred from a nearby health care facility.She reported that the illness began suddenly with severe right lower abdominal pain. The pain was sharp, persistent, and associated with nausea and vomiting. She was unable to carry out her daily activities due to the intensity of the pain. The family initially delayed coming to hospital by trying over the counter medication and herbal medicine.As symptoms worsened, they rushed her to the hospital and advised for emergency surgery which the parent couldn't afford the surgical bills which informed the health care worker decision to refer to us.At UMD, diagnosis of Ovarian Torsion was confirmed and planned for Emergency surgery.She underwent a successful surgery with post operative care.
Medical history
Zainab Waziri female, a 17-year-old female, was presented to our facility with severe lower abdominal pain that worsen with movement and was accompanied by nausea and vomiting. After thorough evaluation and investigation she was diagnosed with acute ovarian torsion.She underwent ovarian cystectomy. The surgery was successful without immediate complications. Due to the nature of her sickness, she was admitted for 5 days for close monitoring and treatment. The patient recovered well and was discharged home after 5 days, with follow-up care scheduled for 1 week. Currently,Zainab is doing well, has recovered, and has resumed regular activities. We sincerely appreciate Helpster charity foundation for the free medical services.
Prognosis
This is a live saving emergency, Zainab is being evaluated for emergency surgery due to severe pain, anxiety and the potential complications is avoided, so She will be admitted and treated as an emergency. If left untreated, acute appendicitis can lead to life-threatening complications such as a ruptured appendix, which causes a widespread abdominal infection known as peritonitis or a localized abscess. The prognosis is generally excellent with early surgical intervention, as most patients experience a full recovery and return to normal activities within a few weeks.
