Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Abubakar is an 15-year-old boy from a very poor household where his parents are petty traders earning less than 25,000 naira monthly. The family lives in conditions with limited access to clean water and sanitation. He is playful, energetic, and enjoys outdoor games with peers. His ambition to become a politician in the future. He had a prolonged history of fever, abdominal pain, and diarrhea which later progressed to abdominal distension and weakness. The condition worsened due to delayed treatment and poor access to healthcare. He was seen and evaluated in UMD and diagnosed to have Acute typhoid fever. Abubakar was admitted and treatment commenced with intravenous antibiotic, fluid and other supportive treatment.
Prognosis
He was diagnosed to have acute typhoid fever, a life threatening condition that requires immediate treatment to avoid complications such as intestinal perforation. He will be admitted for treatment and monitoring till recovery and he is expected to have good prognosis. Abubakar's case is not a bad one and he has good chances of making a great outcome.
