Milcah is an 18-year-old girl living in a village with her parents. She is known for being responsible, respectful, and hardworking. She enjoys reading magazines and newspapers, which has strengthened her communication skills and awareness of current events. Inspired by her passion for reading, she hopes to become a journalist and use her voice to tell important stories in her community. She presented to the health facility in labour, accompanied by her mother, with severe lower abdominal pain radiating to the back, increasing in frequency and intensity over two days. On examination, findings included fetus with grade 2 meconium, abnormal fetal heart rate, reduced fetal movements, and cervical dilation of 4 cm without progress. Examination indicated an inadequately developed pelvis. She was diagnosed with obstructed labour due to cephalopelvic disproportion with fetal distress. Due to these complications, doctors performed an emergency caesarean section as the safest way to save both mother and baby.

Milcah came in to facility in labour with complains of severe lower abdominal pain radiating to the back increasing frequency and intensity for the last two days. On examination, Meconium grade 2, abnormal heart rate and reduced fetal movement was noticed. She was diagnosed with Obstructed labour due to Cephalopelvic disproportion complicated with fetal distress . Due to complications doctors made decision for emergency ceaserian section to be contacted immediately for the purpose of saving lives of mother and the baby as the only safest method. Operation was successful both mother and the baby were doing well. After awhile she stabilized and discharged on good condition.

Milcah had obstructed labour with fetal distress, a life-threatening situation for both mother and baby. The decision to perform an emergency caesarean section was appropriate and lifesaving. With successful surgery and proper postoperative care, Milcah is expected to recover well. The baby’s outcome will depend on response after delivery, but with timely intervention, the prognosis for both is generally good. Close follow-up is essential to monitor recovery and prevent complications.
