Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Bilkis Khatun, a 28-year-old pregnant mother, lives with her husband and three young children in a small tin-shed house where her husband’s income of only 6,000 BDT per month as an auto van driver is barely enough to provide food, education, and daily necessities for the family. Despite poverty and hardship, Bilkis is a caring and hardworking mother who continues to look after her children and household with patience and strength. During the final stage of pregnancy, she developed increasing weakness and discomfort, and doctors later diagnosed her with moderate oligohydramnios and anemia, placing both her life and her unborn baby at serious risk. Her daughters Bornali and Zim, along with little Junayed, depend entirely on their parents, while the family feels helpless because they cannot afford proper medical treatment or emergency delivery care. They learned about Helpster Charity through a CSDK staff member, as without timely treatment, complications such as fetal distress, delayed labor, severe bleeding, or even loss of the mother and baby may occur.

Medical history

Bilkis Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 12/04/2026 at 39 weeks of pregnancy due to complications from moderate oligohydramnios and anemia, which made normal delivery risky. Considering the potential complications, doctors proceeded with a planned cesarean section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Bilkis received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady improvement during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Bilkis was able to move comfortably and take care of her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 15/04/2026 in good health. Bilkis and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their compassionate support and timely intervention, which ensured a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.

Outcome

Doctors have advised a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) along with supportive treatment and anemia management to ensure the safe delivery of Bilkis Khatun’s baby and protect both mother and child. With timely surgery and proper medical care, there is a strong chance of safe delivery and gradual recovery for Bilkis. Treatment will help reduce the risks caused by moderate oligohydramnios and anemia, ensuring better oxygen supply and stability for the baby during birth. However, if left untreated, serious complications such as fetal distress, breathing problems during delivery, excessive bleeding, severe weakness, or loss of oxygen to the baby may occur. In severe cases, these complications can become life-threatening for both mother and baby.
