Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Eleven-year-old Lawan Khalifa is battling post-streptococcal acute glomerulonephritis and severe hypertension on top of his existing sickle cell disease. Following his father's early death, he lives in a mud house with his mother, whose ₦10,000 monthly salary as a nanny is not enough to cover their basic needs and rising medical costs. Despite these hardships, Lawan is a primary school graduate who dreams of becoming an engineer and hopes for a swift recovery to continue his education. Lawan Khalifa is an 11-year-old boy admitted with body swelling, convulsions, and dark-colored urine following a recent history of fever and sore throat. The swelling began from his face and later spread to his body and legs. Medical examination showed high blood pressure, fluid buildup in the abdomen, and signs of kidney problems. Doctors diagnosed him with post-streptococcal acute glomerulonephritis with severe hypertension, alongside his existing sickle cell condition. He requires close medical care, laboratory tests, and continuous treatment to prevent serious complications and support recovery.

Prognosis

Based on clinical findings and investigations, Lawan Khalifa has been diagnosed with post-streptococcal acute glomerulonephritis with severe hypertension, alongside an underlying sickle cell condition. This condition requires close medical supervision, regular laboratory investigations, medications, and monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function. Prognosis: With timely and appropriate medical treatment, close monitoring, and adherence to prescribed medications, Lawan has a good chance of recovery and improvement in his kidney function. However, delay in treatment or inability to continue medical care may lead to serious complications, including worsening kidney damage and other life-threatening conditions.
