Safa Maruya is a 3-year-old child who lives with his parents and an older sibling who studies in Class Two at a local government primary school. His father works as a rickshaw puller, and the family's income is only enough to meet basic daily needs, making it impossible for them to afford the cost of emergency medical treatment. When Safa developed severe diarrhea, high fever, abdominal pain, and weakness, his condition quickly worsened due to severe dehydration and dengue fever. The illness left him weak, restless, and unable to eat or drink properly, causing great concern for his family. Without timely treatment, his condition could become life-threatening due to severe dehydration and complications from dengue fever. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Md. Younus.

Safa, a 03-year-old female child, was admitted on 09.04.2026 with complaints of frequent watery diarrhea (more than 12 episodes within 6 hours), high-grade fever, weakness, lethargy, and severe abdominal cramps causing continuous crying and restlessness. During hospitalization, she was treated with intravenous fluids to correct severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, along with regular monitoring of vital signs and management of fever and abdominal pain under close medical supervision. She remained hospitalized for 4 days and showed gradual clinical improvement with supportive care. The patient was discharged on 13.04.2026 in a stable condition with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

With immediate hospitalization and proper treatment, including fluid and electrolyte correction, the child’s condition is expected to improve significantly, with stabilization of hydration status and reduction of symptoms. Continuous monitoring and supportive care will help manage fever, pain, and prevent further complications related to both diarrhea and dengue fever. Early intervention greatly reduces the risk of life-threatening outcomes and supports a full recovery. However, if left untreated, severe dehydration can lead to shock, organ failure, and even death. Additionally, untreated dengue infection may progress to more serious forms, increasing the risk of bleeding complications and further deterioration of the child’s condition.
