Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Runa Khatun, a 20-year-old pregnant woman, lives with her husband, elderly mother-in-law, and school-going sister-in-law in a small tin-shaded house where her husband’s income of only 6,000 BDT per month as a day laborer is barely enough to provide food and daily necessities for the family. Despite their poverty, Runa is a caring and patient young woman who tries to support her family while preparing to welcome her first child. During her postdated pregnancy, she developed abdominal pain, weakness, nausea, and increasing physical distress, placing both her life and her unborn baby at serious risk. Her husband feels helpless because he cannot afford the medical care and possible emergency delivery needed while also supporting his elderly mother and younger sister’s education. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a CSDK staff member, as without timely treatment, complications such as fetal distress, obstructed labor, severe bleeding, or even death of the mother and baby may occur.
Medical history
Runa Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 22/04/2026 due to complications from a postdated pregnancy, which increased the risk of fetal distress and delayed labor. Considering her condition, doctors decided to proceed with a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to ensure the safe delivery of both mother and baby. The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. After the operation, Runa received proper post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady recovery during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Runa’s condition improved, and she was able to move comfortably and care for her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 25/04/2026 in good health. Runa and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their timely support and compassionate care, which ensured a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.
Outcome
The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) for Runa Khatun to ensure the safe delivery of her baby, as her postdated pregnancy has increased the risk of serious complications. With timely surgical intervention and proper medical care, there is a strong chance of a safe delivery for both mother and child, allowing Runa to recover properly and care for her newborn and family. This planned procedure is necessary to reduce risks such as fetal distress, prolonged labor, reduced amniotic fluid, and other complications related to delayed delivery. However, without timely treatment and surgical intervention, there could be life-threatening risks for both the mother and the baby, making immediate medical care essential for a safe outcome.
