Khadija is a 3 year old female child staying staying with his parents. The father is a labourer and the mother is a house wife. They sometimes struggling to feed in their home. The apartment was inherited from their parents. There is a pit latrine, well, and access to electricity. They have 15,000 as monthly income. Khadijah is a 3-year-old female child who was well until 2 months ago when she started being ill and was treated severally.Presently complains of headache, fever, abdominal pain and loss of appetite and also coughing. On examination, she looks febrile++ not jaundiced, not pale, not cyanotic. Tachypneic and tachycardia. She was diagnosed with enteritis and severe malaria. The parents don't have the funds for the medical bills that made them seek for help from Helpster Charity.

She was treated with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. She was stable and discharged, to be returned for follow up in 1 week. Her family are excited and extended gratitude to Helpster Charity and the medical team for their efforts.

Khadija’s symptoms on presentation are suggestive of enteritis and severe malaria, making her quite sick and if she is not immediately treated it can quite complicated. The combination of enteritis and severe malaria in a child can cause critical complications like severe dehydration, profound anemia, and hypovolemic or septic shock due to massive fluid loss and destroyed red blood cells. If left untreated, this can rapidly progress to electrolyte imbalances, acute kidney injury, multi-organ failure, or death. Prognosis is favorable with prompt treatment, though delayed care may lead to serious complications or death.
