Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Mokarram Hossain is a gentle and hardworking boy who studies in a local madrasah and lives alone with his widowed mother, Sony Akter, under extremely difficult financial conditions. After the death of his father, his mother started working as a maid in nearby houses to survive and support her only child, but her small income is not enough to manage costly emergency medical treatment. When Mokarram developed severe swelling of the mouth, lips, and tongue along with high fever and breathing difficulty, his terrified mother rushed him to Al Manar Hospital as his condition worsened rapidly. Doctors diagnosed him with angioedema and pneumonia, both of which can become very dangerous if the swelling spreads further and affects breathing. Without urgent treatment and close monitoring, his condition could become life-threatening, but the family found hope after learning about Helpster Charity through a community outreach program by Helpster Volunteer ABM Alamgir.

Medical history

Md. Mokarram Hossain was admitted to the hospital on 02-05-2026 in critical condition with severe swelling of the lips, mouth, and tongue, high fever, throat pain, and serious breathing difficulty caused by angioedema with pneumonia. After admission, the doctors immediately started oxygen support, antibiotics, anti-allergic medications, nebulization, and other supportive treatments under close medical observation. During his hospital stay, his fever gradually reduced, the swelling improved, and his breathing condition became stable with continuous treatment and care. He slowly regained strength and became able to eat and speak more comfortably as his condition improved day by day. After satisfactory recovery, Md. Mokarram Hossain was discharged from the hospital on 12-05-2026 with medicines and advice for regular follow-up and continued care for complete recovery.

Prognosis

According to the doctors, Md. Mokarram Hossain requires hospitalization, antibiotic treatment, nebulization, and supportive care to control the severe swelling, infection, fever, and breathing difficulty caused by angioedema with pneumonia. With proper treatment and close medical monitoring, his breathing condition, swelling, and overall health are expected to improve gradually, helping him recover safely and return to normal daily activities. Doctors are carefully monitoring him to prevent the infection and swelling from worsening and to maintain stable breathing and oxygen levels. However, if left untreated, the swelling in the mouth and throat could rapidly block his airway, while the pneumonia may seriously damage his lungs, making the condition life-threatening.
