Abbas Ali is a cheerful and innocent 1-year-6-month-old child from Geneva Bihari Camp, Dhaka, who loves playing beside his family members but is now struggling to breathe due to severe pneumonia. He lives in a small overcrowded shelter with his parents and other family members, where his father, Murad, works long hours as a rickshaw driver earning only around 9,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough to manage food, rent, and daily expenses for the family. Because of their extreme financial hardship, the family has no savings to afford Abbas’s hospitalization, medicines, oxygen support, and ongoing medical treatment. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment and close monitoring, Abbas’s lung infection and breathing difficulty could become life-threatening, seriously affecting his growth, health, and chance of a normal childhood.

After receiving medical support, Abbas Ali was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 04 May 2026 at around 2:45 PM due to severe pneumonia, high fever, persistent cough, and breathing difficulty. He remained under hospital care for about eight days and received supportive treatment, medicines, and necessary medical investigations under the supervision of doctors. During treatment, his condition gradually improved, and his fever and breathing problems became more controlled. Abbas Ali was discharged from the hospital on 12 May 2026 with medicines and follow-up advice for continued recovery. His family is hopeful that with proper nutrition, medicine, and ongoing care, he will recover fully and return to a healthy childhood.

According to the treating doctor, Abbas Ali requires immediate hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive treatment to control the severe lung infection and improve his breathing. With timely medical care and close monitoring, he is expected to recover gradually and return to his normal healthy and playful childhood. The treatment will help reduce fever, improve oxygen supply, and prevent further damage to his lungs. However, if treatment is delayed or left untreated, his severe pneumonia may rapidly become life-threatening, leading to severe breathing failure, dangerously low oxygen levels, lung complications, extreme weakness, and other critical conditions that could put his young life at serious risk.
