Ayman Bashri is a gentle and playful 5-year-old girl from Geneva Bihari Camp who loves staying close to her family and playing with her brother Atiq Reza despite the difficult conditions of camp life. She lives with her parents, grandmother Akbari Begum, nephew Alia Pakshi, Md. Junaid, and other family members in a cramped single-room shelter where her father, Md. Basir Alom, struggles to support the seven-member family through labor work and small peddling jobs earning only around 9,000 BDT per month, leaving no savings for costly hospital treatment and medicines. Ayman’s painful swelling near her ear, high fever, weakness, and pus discharge have made her unable to eat properly, sleep comfortably, or enjoy a normal childhood, causing great fear and anxiety among her family members. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Doctors have warned that without proper treatment, the infection may spread deeper into her body, cause severe complications, damage surrounding tissues, and potentially become life-threatening.

Ayman was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on May 5, 2026, at 3:02 PM to address a severe infection. On May 6, 2026, she successfully underwent an Incision and Drainage (I&D) procedure performed under local anesthesia by ENT specialist Dr. Md. Ibrahim Khalil Ullah. Ayman remained in the hospital for a total of three days, receiving operative care and clinical monitoring until her discharge on May 8, 2026. Her recovery progress has been positive, and she is currently completing a 14-day course of antibiotics at home to ensure the infection is fully eradicated. Thanks to this timely intervention, she is expected to regain her health and return to her daily activities without further pain or complications.

According to the doctors, Ayman Bashri urgently needs surgery to drain the abscess along with IV antibiotics, pain relief medicines, and supportive treatment to control the severe infection and reduce the swelling near her ear. With proper treatment and close medical monitoring, her fever, pain, weakness, and pus discharge are expected to improve gradually, helping her recover and return to a healthier and more comfortable childhood. Doctors are carefully treating the infection to prevent it from spreading further inside her body. However, if she remains untreated, the infection may worsen rapidly, damage surrounding tissues, spread to nearby organs, cause severe complications, and become life-threatening.
