Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Wakil is the third in a family of five, a pupil in Primary Three at Zango Primary School, Gashu’a. However, due to his illness, he has been unable to attend school regularly. He is an active and cheerful child who enjoys playing with his friends. His father, Surajo Wakil, works as an okada rider and earns ₦10,000 monthly, which makes it difficult for the family to meet healthcare needs. The family lives in a mud house in the Lawan Musa area. The child was apparently healthy until about four days before coming to the hospital, when he developed a high fever with chills, severe pain in his legs, along with swelling of the legs and hands. Upon presentation, he was evaluated and diagnosed with a Vaso-occlusive crisis a sickle cell anaemia, precipitated by malaria infection.

Medical history

The child was managed with prompt medical care, including administration of antimalarial medications to treat the underlying infection, adequate pain relief for the vaso-occlusive crisis, intravenous fluids to maintain hydration, and supportive care. He was closely monitored throughout admission. Following treatment, the child showed improvement with reduction in fever, relief of pain, and overall stabilization of his condition. He is responding well to treatment.

Prognosis
