Md. Hamid Ali is a gentle and innocent 7-year-old child who lives with his family in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp under extremely difficult conditions. Despite suffering from cerebral palsy and epilepsy since childhood, Hamid tries to remain cheerful, but his illness has made movement, daily activities, and normal childhood experiences very difficult for him. His father, Md. Haider Ali, works as a laborer with a very limited income that is barely enough to support the five-member family, including Hamid’s siblings such as his brother Chit Ali, leaving no ability to afford costly emergency treatment. When Hamid developed repeated seizures for several hours and later became unconscious with low oxygen levels, his terrified family rushed him to Al Manar Hospital for urgent medical care and close monitoring. Without proper treatment and continuous medical support, his condition could become life-threatening and may cause severe complications affecting his brain and overall health, but the family found hope after learning about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach program in Geneva Camp.

The patient, Md. Hamid Ali, aged 7 years, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital on 6th May 2026 with repeated seizures and was diagnosed with status epilepticus with known cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He stayed in the hospital for 6 days and received emergency medical treatment, anti-seizure medicines, IV fluids, and supportive care under the doctor’s supervision. After treatment, his seizures were controlled and his condition gradually improved. He was discharged on 12th May 2026 with advice to continue medicines, attend follow-up visits, and maintain proper care at home. Hamid’s family expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting his treatment during this difficult time.

According to the doctors, Md. Hamid Ali urgently requires hospitalization, close evaluation, IV fluids, anti-seizure medicines, and supportive treatment to control his prolonged seizures and stabilize his condition. With proper treatment and continuous monitoring, his seizures, unconsciousness, and low oxygen levels may gradually improve, helping to reduce further stress on his brain and body. Doctors are carefully observing him to prevent additional complications and to support his breathing, nutrition, and overall recovery. However, if his condition is left untreated, the prolonged seizures and low oxygen levels could become life-threatening and may cause severe brain damage, worsening weakness, breathing failure, permanent disability, or even death.
