Sonia Akter is a polite and hardworking 17-year-old girl who dreams of supporting her family and continuing her life despite their severe financial hardship. Her father, Jamal Shikdar, works as a day laborer and earns only around 8,000 BDT per month, making it impossible to manage household expenses, her siblings’ education, and costly medical treatment at the same time. When Sonia became seriously ill with fever, painful urination, loose stool, cough, mouth ulcers, and severe weakness, her worried mother and younger brother and sister watched helplessly as her condition gradually worsened. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, the family sought urgent medical support, where doctors diagnosed her with multiple infections affecting her urinary system, stomach, and respiratory tract. Without proper treatment and close medical care, her condition may worsen rapidly and lead to severe infection, kidney complications, electrolyte imbalance, and life-threatening conditions.

Sonia Akter was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 05/05/2026 with complaints of fever, burning sensation during urination, loose motion, cough, runny nose, oral ulceration, and generalized itching. After clinical evaluation, she underwent necessary investigations including CBC, Urine R/E, Serum Electrolytes, and Serum IgE. Following the diagnosis of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE), Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (LRTI), oral ulcer, and urticaria, she was managed with conservative treatment under medical supervision. The patient received symptomatic treatment, appropriate medications, adequate hydration, and regular monitoring. She showed improvement with treatment and was discharged on 09/05/2026 in stable condition.
