Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Peter Joseph is a 10-year-old boy in Grade 5 at a local public school. He lives with his aunt together with his brothers after the separation of his parents left them under her care. His aunt survives through casual door-to-door cleaning jobs to support the children despite significant financial hardship. Peter is cheerful, playful, and bright in school, and his headteacher has consistently supported his education whenever the family struggles to pay school levies. He enjoys watching cartoons and is a talented footballer who plays for the school’s first eleven team. Peter dreams of becoming an international football player and improving the living conditions of his family in the future. Peter was brought to the health facility by his aunt with painful scalp rashes that had started two weeks earlier as itchy lesions before progressively worsening. The condition later developed into a severe superficial bacterial scalp infection associated with foul-smelling discharge, scaling, and involvement around the hair follicles, causing significant discomfort and distress. On assessment, the doctors determined that he required urgent admission for intensive treatment and close monitoring. Due to inability to meet medical expenses, the aunt appealed for assistance and was introduced to Helpster Charity, which agreed to support Peter’s treatment and admission.

Medical history

On 15th May, Victor was admitted at the children's ward after diagnosed with scabies a condition having septic itchy rashes that had spread all over his body which required immediate admission. On admission, He was administered with IV floxapen , IV metro, PO ABZ, IM dinac which he started immediate that he positively responded. On 19th May he was ready for home discharge on oral medication also advised on drug adherence as per doctor prescription.

Prognosis

Peter Joseph presented with an extensive infected scalp condition characterized by painful rashes, foul-smelling discharge, and widespread inflammation suggestive of severe superficial bacterial skin infection. He required admission for antibiotics, wound care, pain management, and close monitoring to prevent further spread of infection. Following initiation of treatment, the affected areas have shown reduction in inflammation and discharge, with gradual improvement in comfort and healing observed. His response to therapy remains satisfactory, and continued medical care is expected to support steady recovery.
