Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Fatema Islam is a fragile newborn baby girl whose life has been filled with struggle since the very first day of her birth. She was born into a deeply impoverished family in Hajiganj, Chandpur, where her father, Titu Hossain, survives by pulling an autorickshaw while battling severe depression and living without a permanent home, making it impossible for the family to afford expensive NICU treatment and emergency medical care. Fatema’s parents are living in constant fear because four of her siblings died shortly after birth, and now their only hope is to save little Fatema so she can grow up beside her elder sister Tanisha Islam. After birth, she developed severe blood infection, jaundice, convulsions, and delayed crying, which rapidly made her condition critical and life-threatening. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through the hospital team and Helpster volunteer Md. Al Amin, and doctors have warned that without urgent NICU care and specialized treatment, Fatema may suffer severe brain damage, organ failure, or even lose her life.
Medical history
Fatema Islam, Baby of Sumi, a 6 day-old newborn baby girl, was admitted on 28.04.2026 in critical condition with severe blood infection and convulsions, both life-threatening complications that required immediate medical intervention. Due to birth-related complications and delayed cry after delivery, her fragile condition demanded urgent NICU support to stabilize her vital functions and prevent further deterioration and save her life. Under the expert supervision of Dr. Md. Waliur Rahman Majumder, MBBS, DCH, FRFH (London), she received intensive care, including continuous monitoring, C-PAP support for breathing, Life Support under Ventilation and specialized neonatal treatment. Throughout her hospitalization, the NICU team ensured round-the-clock care, gradually controlling the infection and stabilizing her condition. Unfortunately Fatema Islam was died on 03.05.2026 at Day 6 in the NICU of the hospital. The Parents were thankful to Helpster Charity and its donor for ensuring her daughters treatment in the hospital.
Outcome
According to Dr. Md. Waliur Rahman, MBBS, DCH, FRFH (London), BCS (Health), NICU Consultant at Famous Specialized Hospital & Trauma Center, Chandpur, Fatema (Baby of Sumi) requires urgent and continued NICU care, including oxygen support, C-PAP, phototherapy with Life support in ventilation and close monitoring by a specialized neonatal team. The doctor emphasizes that with proper and timely treatment, Fatema Islam has a strong chance of recovery and alive. However, without this life-saving intervention, the risks are extremely high, including severe infections, organ damage, and possible loss of life.
