Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

USB SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL

House # 13, Isha Kha Avenue, Sector # 6, Uttara, Dhaka-1239, Bangladesh

Background

Raihan Hossain is a precious 2-month-old baby who is completely dependent on his parents for every aspect of his care and survival. He lives with his parents, elder sibling, and elderly grandparents in a family where his father is the only earning member, working as an office helper in a garments factory with a monthly income of only BDT 9,500, making it impossible to afford the cost of his prolonged medical treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. Because of pneumonia with complications from oxygen deprivation at birth (perinatal asphyxia), Raihan's condition is extremely fragile, and without timely treatment he could develop severe respiratory failure, bloodstream infection (sepsis), permanent brain damage, multiple organ failure, or even lose his life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Hospital, Uttara, giving them hope when they had no other way to continue their baby's lifesaving treatment. With timely medical care, Raihan has the best chance to recover, grow stronger, and enjoy a healthier future with his family.

Medical history

Raihan Hossain was admitted to USB Specialized Hospital on 15-05-2026 in a critical condition after suffering from a high fever, cough, cold, and severe respiratory distress. Due to his previous history of pneumonia, meningoencephalitis, delayed cry after birth, and the diagnosis of pneumonia with sequelae of perinatal asphyxia, doctors immediately started intensive treatment and close monitoring. During his hospital stay, he received intravenous antibiotics, supportive medications, nebulization therapy, oxygen support as needed, and regular investigations to monitor his progress. Gradually, his fever subsided, breathing difficulties improved, and his overall condition became stable. After eight days of dedicated medical care and continuous observation, Raihan showed significant improvement and was discharged from USB Specialized Hospital on 23-05-2026 with advice for follow-up care, giving his family renewed hope for his continued recovery and healthy development.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, immediate hospitalization, intravenous antibiotics, supportive care, oxygen therapy if required, and close medical monitoring are essential to control Raihan's pneumonia and stabilize his condition. With timely treatment, the lung infection can resolve, his breathing will improve, and he has a good chance of recovering while preventing further complications related to his previous birth asphyxia. However, if left untreated, the infection may rapidly progress to severe respiratory failure, bloodstream infection (sepsis), septic shock, permanent brain injury due to inadequate oxygen, multiple organ failure, or even death. Early medical intervention provides the best chance of saving his life and improving his long-term health and development.
