Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Alizan Miah is a brave and innocent 7-month-old baby boy whose smile brings hope to his family despite their difficult circumstances. He lives with his parents, elder brother, and elderly grandparents in a crowded shelter, where his father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 9,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of his lifesaving treatment while meeting their daily needs. Doctors diagnosed Alizan with epilepsy with status epilepticus, severe iron deficiency anemia, and hypocalcemia, and without urgent treatment, he could suffer recurrent prolonged seizures, permanent brain damage, developmental delay, respiratory failure, multiple organ complications, or even death. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized by Helpster Charity in Geneva Camp, giving them hope when they had no other way to save their child
Medical history
Alizan Miah received life-saving intervention after Helpster Charity stepped forward to completely cover the costs of his emergency inpatient care at Al-Manar Hospital Ltd., where he was urgently admitted on May 18, 2026, at 1:04 PM. During his critical 6-day hospital stay, the medical team successfully brought his prolonged seizure under control using immediate anti-convulsive therapies while safely correcting his low fluid levels and severe calcium deficiency via IV management. Thanks to this comprehensive support, his continuous convulsions were completely halted, his vital signs normalized, and he was safely discharged in a stable condition on May 24, 2026. He is now recovering beautifully at home under a strict three-month take-home medication plan designed to permanently raise his seizure threshold and cure his underlying anemia, an outcome that has protected his fragile brain from permanent developmental damage and restored profound hope to his grateful family.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, immediate hospitalization, intravenous fluids, anti-seizure medications, calcium replacement, vitamin D supplementation, and treatment of iron deficiency anemia are essential to stop Alizan's seizures, correct the underlying deficiencies, and stabilize his condition. With timely treatment, the seizures can be controlled, oxygen supply to the brain can be maintained, and he has a good chance of recovering and continuing normal growth and development. However, if left untreated, prolonged seizures (status epilepticus) may lead to permanent brain damage, respiratory failure, severe oxygen deprivation, coma, multiple organ failure, or even death.
