Peter is a 9-year-old boy and the fourth-born in a family of five children. He is a quiet, loving child who enjoys playing football, participating in short races, and singing during school music festivals. He dreams of becoming a musician, composing songs for schools, and eventually establishing his own music band. Peter lives with his parents and siblings in a three-roomed mud-walled house without electricity. His parents are small-scale farmers who rely on farming activities as their primary source of livelihood, with no stable source of income. According to his mother, Peter had been in good health until one evening at around 9:00 p.m. when he sustained a burn injury from hot water. His older siblings had boiled water for bathing and were carrying it to the bathing area when Peter accidentally walked into the path of one of them. The container tipped over, causing the hot water to spill onto him. As a result, he sustained burns on the right side of his abdomen and part of his chest. His mother immediately rushed him to the hospital for medical attention. The family was already aware of Helpster Charity through information they had received during a funeral gathering and sought assistance for his treatment.

PETER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FIRST DEGREE BURN ON ADMISSION WHICH WAS BEING MANAGED WITH ALTERNATE DAYS CLEANING AND DRESSING, ANTIBIOTICS, ANALGESICS AND OTHER DRUGS AS PER MEDICAL REPORT. LATER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE MALARIA AND ANEMIA AND WAS MANAGED WITH ANTI-MALARIALS AND HAEMATONICS. HE FULLY STABILIZED AND WOUND HEALED MAKING US DISCHARGE HIM HOME ON ORAL MEDICATIONS AND GIVEN APPOINTMENT DATE AFTER ONE WEEK TO RETURN FOR REVIEW.

Peter is currently presenting with severe malaria and extensive second-degree burns involving 35% of his body surface area. These conditions are requiring intensive medical management, including antimalarial treatment, wound care, pain control, fluid replacement, nutritional support, and close monitoring for complications such as infection and dehydration. At present, he is responding to treatment and is being closely observed by the medical team. His wounds are being managed to promote healing, while the malaria infection is being actively treated. If he continues responding positively to treatment and supportive care, he is expected to be making gradual progress toward recovery.
