Baby Radhe Das is a 12-day-old premature newborn, born at 29 weeks with a very low birth weight of 1.1 kg, and has required specialized care since birth. His father, Raju Das, works as a cleaner and earns only approximately USD 98 per month, which is insufficient to support Raju, Radhe’s mother Anima, and his elderly grandmother Kalpana while also covering prolonged NICU expenses. Radhe has been affected by breathing difficulties, poor feeding, jaundice, and infection and remains under hospital care with oxygen and other supportive treatment; without continued treatment, his fragile condition could worsen and lead to serious, potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster volunteer Md. Al Amin in Chandpur and is seeking support so Radhe can continue receiving the specialized care needed for recovery.

According to the treatment plan, the 12-day-old preterm baby, born at 29 weeks with very low birth weight (1.1 kg), respiratory distress syndrome, early-onset neonatal sepsis, and neonatal jaundice requires continued hospitalization, supportive care, medication, and close monitoring. With appropriate NICU care, fluid and medical management, infection control, monitoring of vital signs, and nutritional support including Kangaroo Mother Care, the baby has a better chance of stabilizing, improving feeding, and progressing in growth and development. If left untreated, the baby’s prematurity, low birth weight, breathing difficulty, infection, and jaundice could worsen and may lead to serious or life-threatening complications.
