Anne is a one-year-old child and the youngest in a family of six children. She lives with her parents and siblings in a two-roomed iron-sheet house without electricity. The family resides within the compound of her father's employer, where he works as a groundsman and caretaker, maintaining the property in the owner's absence. Although the income he earns is modest, the employer has provided the family with accommodation. Anne's father is the sole provider, while her mother remains at home caring for the children. According to her mother, Anne had been unwell for three days before being brought to the hospital. She was experiencing recurrent fever, a runny nose, cough, excessive crying, and reduced activity levels. ANNE WAS MANAGED WITH ANTIPYRETICS, CORTICOSTEROIDS, ANTIBIOTICS, ANTI-MALARIALS AND OTHER DRUGS AS PER THE MEDICAL REPORT. A MANAGEMENT THAT SHE RESPONDED SO WELL TO, AND HER CONDITION IMPROVED. MAKING US DISCHARGE HER ON ORAL MEDICATIONS TO COMPLETE AT HOME.

Anne presented with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, two serious illnesses that are significantly affecting her health and placing her at risk of life-threatening complications. The combination of the severe infection in her lungs and malaria is causing fever, breathing difficulties, weakness, and reduced activity. She is requiring urgent treatment, close monitoring, and supportive care, including antimalarial medication, antibiotics, and management of her respiratory symptoms. Anne is currently responding to treatment and is showing gradual clinical improvement. Prognosis is good
