Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Hairul Amin is a kind and determined 13-year-old Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National (FDMN) boy who dreams of continuing his education despite the hardships of refugee life. He lives with his parents and six siblings, and his father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with irregular income while the family depends mainly on World Food Programme (WFP) food rations to survive, making it impossible to afford Hairul's medical treatment. The swelling inside his cheek has gradually become larger, causing severe pain, repeated infections, high fever, and difficulty speaking, chewing, and eating, and without timely surgery and treatment, the infection could worsen, leading to serious complications, poor nutrition, and permanent damage to his mouth. After learning about Helpster Charity through a relative, the family found hope during this difficult time and is praying for support to give Hairul the treatment he urgently needs so he can recover and continue his education.

Medical history

Hairul Amin, a 13-year-old boy, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 11.07.2026 with complaints of a mass in the buccal mucosa through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed. On admission, a detailed clinical examination and necessary investigations were carried out. The patient was diagnosed with a benign buccal mucosal mass and subsequently underwent surgical excision under General Anaesthesia. Post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and regular monitoring, was provided to ensure an uneventful recovery. Then mass was sent for histopathology The patient remained hospitalized for a total of five days and was discharged on 15.07.2026 in stable condition with medications, oral hygiene advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, hospitalization, pain and infection management, nutritional support, biopsy, surgical removal of the cheek mass, and regular follow-up are essential for Hairul Amin's recovery. These treatments are expected to remove the abnormal growth, control the recurrent infection, relieve pain, restore normal chewing and speaking, and improve his nutrition and overall quality of life. However, if left untreated, the mass may continue to enlarge, causing severe pain, inability to eat or speak properly, repeated infections, malnutrition, and spread of infection to nearby tissues or the bloodstream, leading to sepsis, which can become life-threatening. Delaying treatment may also allow a serious underlying disease to progress unnoticed, increasing the risk of permanent disability or even death.
