Wakia Jannat is an innocent and cheerful 12-month-old Bangladeshi girl who is the only daughter of her parents and brings great joy to her family despite their difficult living conditions. She is a previous Helpster Charity beneficiary (Case ID: #5375), but after falling ill again, her parents became desperate because her father, the family's only earning member, survives on an irregular income as a rented auto-rickshaw driver, making it impossible to afford emergency medical treatment. Living in a fragile home in a remote coastal area with limited access to healthcare, her parents watched helplessly as her fever, diarrhea, and weakness worsened, leaving them fearful for her life. Doctors have warned that if her acute gastroenteritis with fever and diarrhea is not treated immediately, she could develop severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, shock, bloodstream infection, multi-organ failure, and even death. Having previously received life-saving support, the family once again turned to Helpster Charity through volunteer Abu Sayeed, hoping their beloved daughter can recover and continue to grow up healthy.

Wakia was admitted to Orion Hospital on 01 June 2026 through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed with acute gastroenteritis, high fever, diarrhea, dehydration, and poor feeding. She received immediate hospitalization, IV fluid therapy, medications, supportive care, and close medical monitoring, responding well to treatment. She was discharged in stable condition on 04 June 2026 with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. Her family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team at Orion Hospital for their generous financial support, compassionate care, and successful treatment.

According to the treating doctor, immediate hospitalization, intravenous fluid therapy, rehydration, antibiotics, nutritional support, supportive care, and close medical monitoring are essential to treat Muhima Jannat Ruhi's acute watery diarrhea, enteric febrile illness, and moderate to severe dehydration. With timely treatment, her diarrhea and fever are expected to resolve, dehydration will be corrected, and her feeding, strength, and overall health will gradually improve, allowing her to continue normal growth and development. However, if left untreated, she may develop severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, septicemia (bloodstream infection), shock, kidney injury, multi-organ failure, and even death, especially because she is a low-birth-weight infant
